Working Student (Werkstudent) - FP&A (m/f/d)

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Working Student to join our Finance team. This is a hands-on role where you will go beyond simple data entry to help us understand the story behind our numbers. You will work closely with our core business functions, helping us turn data into clear insights that support our strategic decisions.

Your tasks would be...

  • Analyze monthly financial performance and identify key business drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support the preparation and further development of financial models, forecasts, and business projections
  • Work with key metrics such as CAC, churn, and conversion rates to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Collaborate with different departments and support budget owners in understanding their financial performance and making informed spending decisions
  • Contribute to strategic analyses and special projects, including unit economics and the financial assessment of potential market expansions
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve the efficiency of finance processes and reporting

You will fit well, when…

  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, STEM, or a related field
  • You have strong analytical skills and enjoy turning financial data into meaningful insights
  • You are confident using Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and building structured and reliable financial models
  • You have a proactive mindset and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can continuously improve the way things are done
  • You communicate clearly and can explain financial topics to colleagues outside of Finance
  • You are fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
  • You ideally have gained some previous practical experience through internships, working student roles, or similar positions

What is the typical hiring process?

After your CV submission, our HR team will get in touch with you. The first call is to get to know the company and the position better; of course, you will get a chance to introduce your ambitious self then. After comes a call with your future Teamlead, which is followed by a case study. The last step is to meet the team and visit one of our locations. Usually. We will always inform you about the next steps during the interviews.

How long is the hiring process?

It will take us a week to get back to you after your CV submission. If everything goes smoothly, the interview processes can be finished in roughly 4-6 weeks.

What is it like to work at Wellster?

Tough question. We’ve asked some colleagues to describe their experience with songs. Some of the answers were: Rolling in the Deep, Oh Happy Day, Show must go on and Eye of the Tiger. What does it mean? We don’t know, we just know that people love it here :)

What language do people speak at Wellster?

Official language of the company is English. We operate so far only on the German Market - so some people/departments must speak German. All the other languages are super welcome to join “the most prevailing language” contest :)
