Junior Researcher – Medizin & Gesundheit (m/w/d)

As a Junior Medical Researcher, you will support our team in providing reliable, evidence-based medical information. You will work closely with medical experts and content and marketing teams, helping to structure and classify scientific findings.

The focus is on research, analysis, and comprehensible presentation—not on independent medical decision-making.

Your tasks would be...

  • conducting literature and background research on health-related topics such as weight management, nutrition, and men's health
  • gathering, summarizing, and preparing evidence-based medical and scientific sources (e.g., studies, reviews, guidelines) to support internal knowledge and health-related articles
  • maintaining and updating internal knowledge bases and medical overviews
  • monitoring developments and trends in medicine and public health
  • assisting with small data analyses or descriptive statistical evaluations
  • serving as a contact person for medical topics and coordinating with internal teams on content questions
  • using AI-supported tools to enhance medical research and prepare scientific content efficiently

You will fit well, when…

  • hold a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Medicine – even without licensure, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Nutritional Science, Public Health, Health Sciences or related Life Sciences)
  • are interested in evidence-based medicine and enjoy structured scientific work
  • can research, assess, and clearly summarize complex scientific materials such as studies or guidelines for internal and external use
  • think critically and handle sources with care, distinguishing strong evidence from weak or unreliable data
  • work in a proactive, structured manner and can present complex medical topics in a pragmatic way that supports writers and content/marketing teams

What is the typical hiring process?

After your CV submission, our HR team will get in touch with you. The first call is to get to know the company and the position better; of course, you will get a chance to introduce your ambitious self then. After comes a call with your future Teamlead, which is followed by a case study. The last step is to meet the team and visit one of our locations. Usually. We will always inform you about the next steps during the interviews.

How long is the hiring process?

It will take us a week to get back to you after your CV submission. If everything goes smoothly, the interview processes can be finished in roughly 4-6 weeks.

What is it like to work at Wellster?

Tough question. We’ve asked some colleagues to describe their experience with songs. Some of the answers were: Rolling in the Deep, Oh Happy Day, Show must go on and Eye of the Tiger. What does it mean? We don’t know, we just know that people love it here :)

What language do people speak at Wellster?

Official language of the company is English. We operate so far only on the German Market - so some people/departments must speak German. All the other languages are super welcome to join “the most prevailing language” contest :)
