International SEO Manager (m/f/d)

We're looking for an ambitious International SEO Manager who wants to shape the future of search, drive international organic growth, and help establish our brands as trusted authorities across both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.

Your tasks would be...

  • Shape and drive our international SEO strategy across European markets.
  • Improve technical SEO across crawling, indexing, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and international SEO.
  • Develop data-driven content strategies, landing pages, and SEO briefs.
  • Drive off-page SEO through backlink acquisition, outreach, Digital PR, and partnerships.
  • Grow our visibility across AI-powered search platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity through Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
  • Monitor SEO and AI visibility performance and turn data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Identify new growth opportunities through keyword research, competitor analysis, and market trends.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Content, PR, Medical, UX, and Marketing to make SEO a shared success.

You will fit well, when…

  • You bring 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally in an international environment.
  • You have strong knowledge of technical SEO, content strategy, and off-page SEO.
  • You are confident using tools such as Sistrix, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and GA4.
  • You have experience with CMS platforms and working closely with development teams.
  • You understand international SEO topics such as hreflang, localization, and multilingual websites.
  • You enjoy working with data and translating insights into action.
  • You are comfortable owning cross-functional SEO projects independently.
  • You communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You are proactive, organized, solution-oriented, and fluent in written and spoken English and German.
  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, e-commerce, regulated industries, Digital PR, AI Search, GEO, entity SEO, or Jira is a plus.

What is the typical hiring process?

After your CV submission, our HR team will get in touch with you. The first call is to get to know the company and the position better; of course, you will get a chance to introduce your ambitious self then. After comes a call with your future Teamlead, which is followed by a case study. The last step is to meet the team and visit one of our locations. Usually. We will always inform you about the next steps during the interviews.

How long is the hiring process?

It will take us a week to get back to you after your CV submission. If everything goes smoothly, the interview processes can be finished in roughly 4-6 weeks.

What is it like to work at Wellster?

Tough question. We’ve asked some colleagues to describe their experience with songs. Some of the answers were: Rolling in the Deep, Oh Happy Day, Show must go on and Eye of the Tiger. What does it mean? We don’t know, we just know that people love it here :)

What language do people speak at Wellster?

Official language of the company is English. We operate so far only on the German Market - so some people/departments must speak German. All the other languages are super welcome to join “the most prevailing language” contest :)
