Head of Pharma Supply & Partnerships (m/f/d)

Wellsteris scaling across Europe on top of infrastructure most of our competitors don’t have: our own telemedical clinic, our own mail-order pharmacy, and apharmaceutical wholesale operation coming fully online this year. That infrastructure is only as strong as our relationships with the pharmaceutical industry behind it - and today those relationships are run across several people. We are looking for one dedicated, commercially sharp owner to take them end to end.

As Head of Pharma Supply & Partnerships, you will own Wellster’s commercial relationship with the pharmaceutical industry day to day: from supply and distribution terms to data and B2B partnerships, and the margin that sits underneath all of it. This role is ideal for a hands-on dealmaker who can structure and close agreements with large manufacturers at scale-up pace, hold a commercial line under pressure, and build the team that scales this function as we grow across new markets.

Deine Aufgaben werden sein ...

  • Take end-to-end ownership of Wellster’s commercial relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers and B2B partners
  • Optimize our RX and OTC supply terms — conditions, rebates, allocation and landed cost — with direct accountability for gross margin
  • Structure, negotiate and manage Direct Distribution Agreements (DDAs) with manufacturers across our pharmacy and wholesale entities, in Germany and across new European markets as we open them
  • Own the commercial terms of our data and marketing contribution agreements with manufacturers
  • Drive our B2B partnerships, including the white-label and fulfilment relationships that make our infrastructure a business in its own right
  • Hold the decision on whether a partnership is commercially value-accretive, and make that call stick with internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with our commercial brand teams, our Pharmacy Director and our executive team to keep supply, terms and expansion plans on track — including for our upcoming portfolio and the GLP-1 Pill pipeline
  • Automation of Processes and Overhead Efficiency by AI-application
  • Build scalable processes and structures for pharma partnerships and trade — and hire and lead a small, high-calibre team behind this function over your first year

Du passt perfekt zu uns, wenn …

  • You have 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical trade, distribution or commercial roles — from a manufacturer, a pharmaceutical wholesaler, or a large pharmacy or online-pharmacy operator
  • You can point to specific agreements you personally negotiated with manufacturers or major suppliers, and talk through the mechanics, the trade-offs and the margin impact — not just the relationship
  • You have real fluency in Rx economics: pricing, rebates, discounts, parallel import and wholesale margin — and you understand how a distribution agreement gets approved on the other side of the table
  • You draft, decide and close without waiting for a support function, and you are comfortable moving faster than the large corporates you negotiate with
  • You take ownership of commercial outcomes rather than individual tasks, and you can tell a team a deal isn’t worth doing
  • You proactively create structures, briefs and solutions instead of waiting for detailed instructions, and you enjoy building a function from the front
  • You are fluent in English; German is a strong advantage

Wie läuft der Bewerbungsprozess normalerweise ab?

Nachdem Du uns Deinen Lebenslauf geschickt hast, wird sich unser HR-Team mit Dir in Verbindung setzen. Das erste Gespräch dient dazu, das Unternehmen und die Stelle besser kennenzulernen, und natürlich hast Du die Möglichkeit, Dich selbst vorzustellen. Danach folgt ein Gespräch mit Deinem zukünftigen Teamlead, gefolgt von einer Case Study Im letzten Schritt lernst Du das Team kennen und besuchst einen unserer Standorte. Während der Gespräche informieren wir Dich immer über die nächsten Schritte.

Wie lange dauert der Bewerbungsprozess?

Es dauert etwa eine Woche, bis wir uns nach der Einsendung Deines Lebenslaufs bei Dir melden. Wenn alles gut läuft, können die Vorstellungsgespräche innerhalb von 4 bis 6 Wochen abgeschlossen werden.

Wie ist es, bei Wellster zu arbeiten?

Eine schwierige Frage. Wir haben einige Kollegen gebeten, ihre Erfahrungen mit Songtiteln zu beschreiben. Einige der Antworten waren: Rolling in the Deep, Oh Happy Day, Show must go on und Eye of the Tiger. Was das bedeutet? Wir wissen es nicht genau, aber es macht den Eindruck, dass es den Leuten hier gefällt :)

Welche Sprache wird bei Wellster gesprochen?

Die offizielle Unternehmenssprache ist Englisch. Da wir bisher nur auf dem deutschen Markt tätig sind, müssen einige Personen / Abteilungen Deutsch sprechen.
